Our story

Four decades.
Two generations.
One shop.

In 1984, Jason Moore started working in this very shop, a mile from TCU — and bought it at seventeen. His son Kai was tinting beside him from age eleven, and took over the family business in 2021.

“We’re going Global!”

Frequently asked
questions.

A few helpful answers before you choose your film.

Still have a question?(817) 921-3475
Which window film is right for me?

Start with what matters most: heat reduction, glare, privacy or the look of your vehicle. Dyed film focuses on shade and appearance, while ceramic film adds stronger infrared heat rejection. A darker shade does not automatically mean better heat protection. Our team can explain the film options and show you samples at the shop.

How much does window tint cost?

Your quote depends on your vehicle, the windows you want covered, the film you choose and whether existing tint needs to be removed. Use our free quote form with your make and model, or call the shop to discuss your project. We’ll help you compare the options before you decide.

How do I choose a shade that works for my vehicle?

A tint percentage describes visible light transmission: a lower number means a darker appearance. Compare shades in person, and consider visibility as well as privacy. Texas requirements vary by window and apply to the film and glass together, so the film percentage alone does not determine whether your finished windows comply.

How long does installation take?

The time needed depends on your vehicle, the number of windows and whether old film needs to come off first. Share those details when requesting your quote so we can discuss the expected installation time and arrange your visit. Installation and the film’s drying time are separate stages.

When can I roll down or clean my tinted windows?

Follow the care instructions given at pickup. XPEL recommends waiting approximately 1–5 days before rolling down or cleaning newly tinted windows, depending on the climate. Once the film is ready, use a soft microfiber towel and a mild, ammonia-free glass cleaner. Avoid abrasive pads that can damage the film.

Is a little haze normal after installation?

Freshly installed film can look hazy or show small moisture pockets while the application water dries. XPEL notes that this can last up to ten days. Leave the film alone while it cures, and contact the shop if you notice lifting edges or anything that concerns you.

What’s the difference between tint, PPF and ExoShield?

Window tint goes on glass to help manage sunlight, heat and glare. Paint protection film, or PPF, covers painted surfaces to help protect the finish from road debris and everyday wear. ExoShield is a windshield protection film designed to help reduce impact damage from chips and road debris. Tell us which area you want to protect and we’ll explain your options.

Do you tint more than cars?

Yes. We offer window film for homes and commercial spaces, as well as services for RVs, boats and heavy equipment. Share the type of glass, your project’s location and what you want to improve, such as heat, glare or privacy, so our team can help you choose a suitable film.
